Description

KUFTIVE is a triple-action combination tablet for rapid relief of common cold and allergy symptoms. The components work together to suppress cough, relieve nasal congestion, and control allergic reactions.

Clinical Uses

• Temporary relief of dry cough, sneezing, runny nose, watery or itchy eyes, throat irritation, and nasal/sinus congestion due to colds, flu, hay fever, and allergies.

• Manages upper respiratory tract symptoms (cold, allergy, post-nasal drip).

Mechanism of Action

• Dextromethorphan: Blocks cough centre in the brain, relieving persistent dry cough.

• Phenylephrine: Decongestant shrinks nasal blood vessels, opening blocked nose and reducing sinus pressure.

• Chlorpheniramine: Antihistamine blocks effects of histamine, relieving allergy symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, and itching.

Dosage & Directions

• Take as prescribed, usually 1 tablet every 4–6 hours (maximum recommended per day as per doctor’s instructions).

• Swallow whole, with or without food; suitable for adults and children over 12 years (do not overuse)

Common Side Effects

• Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, nausea, nervousness, insomnia, blurred vision, urinary retention

• Rare: allergic reaction, rapid heartbeat, hallucination, convulsions.

Safety & Precautions

• Not for use in asthma, severe hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, glaucoma, enlarged prostate, or severe liver/kidney disease.

• Avoid combining with sedatives, alcohol, other cough/cold medicines, or MAO inhibitors.
