Description
Meftal 250 is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve mild to moderate pain. It is commonly prescribed for menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), headaches, dental pain, musculoskeletal pain, and other inflammatory conditions. It works by reducing inflammation and blocking pain signals in the body.
**Dosage:**The usual adult dose is 250mg taken orally every 6–8 hours as needed. The total daily dose should not exceed the maximum prescribed by a doctor.
**How to Use:**Take the tablet with a full glass of water after meals to reduce the risk of stomach irritation. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew unless directed by a physician.
**Precautions:**Avoid using Meftal 250 if you have peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or known allergy to NSAIDs. Use with caution during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking to prevent drug interactions.
**Side Effects:**Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, dizziness, or headache. Rare but serious side effects include allergic reactions, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver or kidney problems; medical attention is needed if these occur.
