METPOD-100DT is a dispersible oral tablet containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100 mg, provided in Alu-Alu blister packaging. It is designed for the treatment of various mild to moderate bacterial infections, especially in patients who have difficulty swallowing whole tablets.
How it Works
Cefpodoxime Proxetil is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death for a wide spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria responsible for infections.

Dosage & Administration

Typical adult dose: 100 mg every 12 hours for 5-10 days, depending on infection and severity

Pediatric dosing: 5 mg/kg every 12 hours, maximum dose not to exceed 100 mg per dose for children 2 months to 12 years

Tablet should be dispersed in water before administration, taken with or without food as directed
