Description

Uses:
Metrogyl 200 Tablet is used to treat bacterial and parasitic infections, especially:

• Amoebiasis (intestinal infections)

• Giardiasis

• Trichomoniasis

• Bacterial vaginosis

• Dental infections

• Skin, bone, and soft tissue infections

• Post-surgical anaerobic infections

How it Works:
Metronidazole kills bacteria and parasites by damaging their DNA, stopping their growth and clearing the infection.

Dosage:

• Usually taken 2–3 times a day, after meals.

• Your doctor decides the exact dose based on the severity of infection.

• Finish the full course even if symptoms improve early.

How to Use:

• Swallow whole with water, preferably after food.

• Do not skip doses.

• Avoid alcohol completely during treatment and 48 hours after the last dose.

Precautions:

• Strictly avoid alcohol (may cause severe reactions like nausea, headache, flushing).

• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney issues, seizures, or blood disorders.

• Use with caution in pregnancy and breastfeeding.
