Oflomac-M Forte Suspension

Description

Oflomac-M Forte Suspension is a broad-spectrum combination antibiotic containing Ofloxacin (100mg/5ml) and Metronidazole (200mg/5ml). This oral suspension is designed for the treatment of moderate to severe gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria and protozoa.

• Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacteria.

• Metronidazole works against anaerobic bacteria and protozoal infections.

Together, they provide strong action against mixed bacterial and protozoal infections, especially in the gastrointestinal tract.

Common Uses:

• Acute diarrhea and dysentery

• Gastrointestinal infections due to mixed pathogens

• Amoebic dysentery and giardiasis

• Infections of gums, oral cavity, and dental abscesses

• Gynecological and pelvic infections (as prescribed)

Key Information:

• Shake well before use.

• Use the prescribed measuring spoon/cup for accurate dosing.

• Complete the full course to avoid relapse or resistance.

• Avoid alcohol during treatment and up to 48 hours after stopping (due to Metronidazole).

Possible Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort

• Diarrhea or constipation

• Metallic/bitter taste in mouth (Metronidazole effect)

• Dizziness, headache

• Dark-colored urine (harmless effect of Metronidazole)

• Rare: tendon pain/swelling, allergic reactions
