Description

OLMED 20 Tablet, manufactured by Cipla Ltd, contains Olmesartan Medoxomil (20mg) as its active ingredient. It belongs to the class of medicines known as angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), which are widely used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) and protect the heart, kidneys, and blood vessels from long-term damage.

How it Works:
Olmesartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance in the body that narrows blood vessels and raises blood pressure. By preventing its action, Olmesartan causes the blood vessels to relax and widen, leading to a reduction in blood pressure and easier blood flow. This not only controls hypertension but also lowers the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.
