Description

Olmesar 20 Tablet contains Olmesartan Medoxomil (20mg), an antihypertensive medicine belonging to the class of angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs). It is primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), helping to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and kidney-related complications.

Olmesartan works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a natural substance that tightens blood vessels. This allows blood vessels to relax, thereby lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow.

Common Uses:

• Management of high blood pressure (hypertension)

• Prevention of complications related to hypertension such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage

• May be used as part of combination therapy with other antihypertensives

Key Information:

• Should be taken once daily at the same time each day.

• Can be taken with or without food.
