Description
Omnicef 250mg Injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic containing Cefotaxime. It is used to treat mild to moderate bacterial infections. Cefotaxime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. This injection is NPPA regulated and administered under medical supervision.
The 250mg dose is commonly used in children or patients requiring lower antibiotic doses.
Uses
-
Respiratory tract infections – bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, tonsillitis
-
Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

How It Works
Cefotaxime binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) in bacterial cell walls, preventing their formation. This weakens the bacterial cell wall and causes bacterial death, effectively treating infections.
