Sompraz 40 Tablet

Description

Sompraz 40 Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce excessive stomach acid. Esomeprazole works by blocking the acid-producing enzyme in the stomach lining, helping to heal ulcers, prevent acid-related damage, and relieve symptoms of heartburn and acid reflux.

Uses:

• Treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Heals erosive esophagitis

• Prevents stomach and duodenal ulcers

• Reduces symptoms of heartburn, acid regurgitation, and indigestion

Dosage & How to Use:

• Usually taken once daily, 30–60 minutes before a meal

• Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew

• Follow your doctor’s instructions regarding duration of therapy

Precautions:

• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, low magnesium, or other medical conditions

• May interact with other medications; provide your doctor a full list of medicines

• Long-term use may require periodic monitoring

Side Effects:

• Headache, nausea, diarrhea, or stomach pain

• Constipation or flatulence

• Rarely, low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency, or kidney issues
