Description
Telpres CT 40/6.25 Tablet is a fixed-dose combination medicine used to control high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines two active ingredients:
-
Telmisartan (40mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes and widens blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and easing the workload on the heart.
-
Chlorthalidone (6.25mg): A thiazide-like diuretic (water pill) that helps the body eliminate excess salt and water through urine, reducing fluid overload and lowering blood pressure.
This lower-dose diuretic combination is often prescribed for patients who require additional blood pressure control but may be sensitive to higher diuretic doses.
