Description

Thyronorm 75mcg Tablet contains Thyroxine (Levothyroxine Sodium), a synthetic thyroid hormone prescribed for hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid gland). This strength is commonly used when patients require a moderate daily dose to maintain normal thyroid hormone levels and achieve metabolic balance.

Indications / Uses:
Thyronorm 75mcg is prescribed for:

• Hypothyroidism (all forms – congenital, acquired, or post-surgery)

• Goiter management (to reduce thyroid gland enlargement)

• Post-thyroidectomy or after radioactive iodine therapy to restore hormone balance

• Thyroid cancer suppression therapy

• Patients requiring precise medium-strength dosing of thyroid hormone

How It Works:
Thyroxine (Levothyroxine) replaces or supplements the natural thyroid hormone T4 in the body. It helps regulate energy metabolism, body temperature, protein synthesis, brain development, and overall body functions, thereby relieving symptoms of hypothyroidism such as fatigue, weight gain, depression, and dry skin.

Dosage & Administration:

• Taken once daily on an empty stomach, at least 30–60 minutes before breakfast.

• Swallow with plain water; avoid coffee, tea, or milk immediately afterward.

• Dosage is individualized, based on thyroid function tests (TSH, T3, T4).

• Consistency in daily intake and timing is important for effectiveness.

Side Effects:
