Description

Udiliv 300 Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA), a bile acid that helps in the treatment of liver and gallbladder disorders. It is widely prescribed to dissolve cholesterol gallstones (when surgery is not an option), manage primary biliary cirrhosis, and improve bile flow in cholestatic liver conditions. The higher 300mg strength is often preferred for patients needing stronger or long-term therapy.

Indications / Uses:
Udiliv 300 Tablet is used for:

• Dissolving cholesterol gallstones in patients with a functioning gallbladder

• Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) – an autoimmune liver disorder

• Chronic cholestatic liver diseases (including pregnancy-related cholestasis)

• Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and NASH

• Improving bile flow and protecting liver cells against damage

How It Works:
Ursodeoxycholic Acid works by:

• Decreasing cholesterol absorption in the intestine

• Lowering cholesterol production in the liver

• Breaking down and reducing cholesterol in gallstones

• Protecting liver cells and restoring normal bile flow

Dosage & Administration:

• Dosage depends on body weight, disease severity, and doctor’s advice.

• Usually taken once or twice daily after meals, with water.

• For gallstone dissolution, treatment may continue for 6–24 months.

• Regular monitoring with liver function tests and ultrasound is recommended.
