Description

Vertin 8mg Tablet contains Betahistine (8mg), a histamine analogue used to treat Ménière’s disease and other conditions of the inner ear that cause vertigo (dizziness), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), nausea, and hearing loss. It improves blood circulation in the inner ear, thereby reducing pressure buildup and restoring balance.

Indications / Uses:
Vertin 8mg Tablet is prescribed for:

• Ménière’s disease (characterized by vertigo, tinnitus, and hearing difficulties)

• Vertigo and balance disorders due to inner ear problems

• Tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ears)

• Relieving nausea and dizziness associated with vestibular dysfunction

How It Works:
Betahistine works by:

• Stimulating histamine receptors (H1 receptors) in the inner ear

• Blocking H3 receptors, which increases histamine release and improves blood flow

• Enhancing circulation in the cochlea and vestibular system of the ear

• Reducing excess fluid accumulation in the inner ear, thereby lowering pressure and improving symptoms

Dosage & Administration:

• Usually taken 1–3 times daily, with or after food to minimize stomach irritation.

• The 8mg strength is generally prescribed for patients who require a lower starting dose or need fine-tuned dose adjustments.

• Effects may take a few weeks of consistent use to become fully noticeable.
