Description

Xmet-Trio 500/0.2/1 Tablet ER is a combination anti-diabetic medicine used for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control blood sugar levels and prevents complications such as kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, heart disease, and stroke.

It contains:

  • Glimepiride (1mg) – a sulfonylurea that stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin.

  • Metformin (500mg) – a biguanide that decreases glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.

  • Voglibose (0.2mg) – an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that delays the absorption of sugar from the intestine, preventing blood sugar spikes after meals.

This extended-release (ER) formulation provides long-lasting blood sugar control.
