Description
DAILYGLIM M1 Tablet is a dual oral antidiabetic designed to control blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes who do not achieve adequate control with diet, exercise, or single-agent therapy alone.
Uses / Indications
-
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: For adults to control blood glucose when monotherapy (either glimepiride or metformin alone) is insufficient.
-
Reduces the risk of long-term complications of diabetes—kidney, nerve, eye, and cardiovascular issues—with regular and sustained blood sugar control.
How it Works / Key Benefits
-
Glimepiride: Stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, lowers blood sugar.
-
Metformin (PR): Decreases liver glucose production, reduces intestinal glucose absorption, and improves insulin sensitivity throughout the body.
-
The combination offers better blood sugar control than either medicine alone, with a lower risk of hypoglycemia than many traditional sulfonylureas.
Dosage & Administration
-
Typically, one tablet once daily with breakfast or the first major meal.
-
Swallow whole with water—do not break, crush, or chew.
-
Do not skip meals and continue regular blood sugar monitoring.
-
Never double the dose if a tablet is missed. Take the next dose at its regular time.
Safety & Side Effects
-
Common: Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia—shakiness, sweating, confusion), nausea, headache, mild GI upset, taste change, modest weight gain.
-
Rare/serious: Lactic acidosis (seek urgent care if rapid breathing, persistent vomiting), allergic reaction, anemia, liver dysfunction.
-
Not suitable for type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe kidney/liver dysfunction, or during metabolic acidosis.
-
Regular blood, kidney, and liver function monitoring is recommended during therapy.
-
Alcohol increases the risk of hypoglycemia and should be avoided.
Note:
DAILYGLIM M1 is part of a long-term diabetes plan—continue healthy diet/exercise and follow your doctor’s instructions for best results and safety.
