Oflomac OZ Tablet is a combination antibiotic containing Ofloxacin (200mg) and Ornidazole (500mg). It is widely used to treat gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria and protozoa, especially when diarrhea or dysentery is due to mixed pathogens.

Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic effective against a broad range of bacteria by inhibiting bacterial DNA replication.

Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal and antibacterial agent effective against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa like amoeba and giardia.
Together, this combination provides a synergistic effect, making it effective in mixed bacterial and protozoal infections.
