Description
Oflomac OZ Tablet contains a combination of Ofloxacin (200mg) and Ornidazole (500mg). It is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal medicine used for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial and parasitic infections, including those affecting the teeth, lungs, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and genital tract.
The medicine works by combining the effects of its two active ingredients. Ofloxacin kills bacteria by stopping them from multiplying, while Ornidazole destroys parasites and anaerobic bacteria by damaging their DNA. Together, they ensure effective clearance of mixed bacterial and parasitic infections.
How to use:
Oflomac OZ Tablet should be taken orally with food to avoid stomach upset. Take it at the same time each day to ensure maximum effectiveness. Swallow the tablet whole—do not crush or chew it. The dose and duration are prescribed by the doctor depending on the severity of infection and the patient’s condition. Even if you feel better, complete the full course as stopping early may cause relapse or resistance.
Possible side effects:
Most side effects are mild and temporary. Commonly reported ones include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, insomnia (difficulty sleeping), diarrhea, itching, and vaginal inflammation. If any side effect persists or worsens, consult your doctor immediately. In case of allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek urgent medical help.
Precautions:
-
Avoid alcohol during treatment as it may cause excessive drowsiness or dizziness.
