Description
Amlip AT Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medicine manufactured by Cipla Ltd. It contains two active ingredients: Amlodipine (5mg), a calcium channel blocker (CCB), and Atenolol (50mg), a beta-blocker. Together, they help effectively control high blood pressure (hypertension) and reduce the risk of serious cardiovascular complications such as heart attack, stroke, and heart failure.
How It Works:
-
Amlodipine (5mg): Relaxes and widens the blood vessels by blocking calcium channels, lowering blood pressure and improving blood flow. It also helps prevent episodes of chest pain (angina).
-
Atenolol (50mg): Slows down the heart rate and decreases the force of heart contractions by blocking beta-adrenergic receptors. This reduces the strain on the heart and helps maintain steady blood pressure.
Uses of Amlip AT Tablet:
-
Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)
-
Treatment and prevention of angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart)
-
Reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, and related heart problems
-
Provides dual benefit by controlling both blood pressure and heart rate
Key Benefits:
-
Effective dual therapy for patients requiring more than one drug for BP control
-
Reduces workload on the heart and improves blood circulation
-
Helps prevent long-term complications of high blood pressure
