Description

Benisure-4 Tablet contains benidipine, a long-acting, third-generation dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker. It is prescribed for the treatment and long-term management of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart).

How it Works / Key Benefits

• Benidipine blocks L-, T-, and N-type calcium channels in blood vessels, leading to vasodilation (relaxation and widening of arteries and arterioles).

• This action lowers blood pressure, reduces the workload on the heart, and increases oxygen supply to heart muscle, thereby lessening chest pain (angina) and improving cardiovascular health.

• Also helps protect kidneys and other organs, particularly in patients with hypertension and risk of cardiovascular complications.

Uses / Indications

Dosage & Administration

Common Side Effects

• Ankle swelling (edema), headache, dizziness, palpitations, flushing, fatigue, sleepiness, abdominal pain, or nausea.
