Description

Brufen 200 Tablet is a widely used non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) containing Ibuprofen 200mg. It provides relief from pain, inflammation, and fever by blocking certain natural substances (prostaglandins) that cause pain, swelling, and high temperature.

This medicine is commonly prescribed for headache, toothache, muscle pain, joint pain, backache, menstrual cramps, and fever. It is also used in conditions like arthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders.

Uses

• Relief of mild to moderate pain (headache, toothache, body ache, back pain, joint pain)

• Management of fever

• Reduction of inflammation in arthritis, sprains, and injuries

• Relief from menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea)

How it Works

Ibuprofen works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which decreases the production of prostaglandins—chemicals responsible for pain, swelling, and fever. This results in effective pain relief and reduced inflammation.

Dosage & Administration

• Take with or after food to minimize stomach irritation.

• Swallow with water; do not crush or chew.

• Dose and frequency depend on the severity of pain/fever and doctor’s advice.

• Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
