Description

Canditral 100 Capsule is an oral antifungal medicine that contains Itraconazole (100mg), a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, leading to disruption of cell structure and death of the fungus.

It is highly effective against a wide range of fungal infections of the skin, nails, mouth, throat, lungs, and genitals. Compared to older antifungals, Itraconazole offers better efficacy and fewer relapses in long-term fungal infections, especially in nails and systemic infections.

• Dermatophytosis (ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch)

• Onychomycosis (fungal nail infections)

• Oropharyngeal and esophageal candidiasis (mouth and throat infections)

• Vulvovaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infections)

• Systemic fungal infections such as histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, and blastomycosis

• Tinea infections resistant to topical therapy

Dosage & Directions for Use

• Usual adult dose: 100–200 mg once or twice daily, depending on infection type and severity.

• Capsules should be taken immediately after a full meal for better absorption.

• Duration of therapy varies:

  • Skin infections: 1–4 weeks

  • Nail infections: 3–6 months (continuous or pulse therapy)

  • Systemic infections: as prescribed by the doctor

• Do not stop medication abruptly without consulting your physician, even if symptoms improve early.
