COMBItide 125 Inhaler

Description

COMBItide 125 Inhaler is a combination inhaler containing Salmeterol (25mcg) and Fluticasone Propionate (125mcg). It is used in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

• Salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator that helps relax the airway muscles, making breathing easier.

• Fluticasone Propionate is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and swelling in the lungs.

Together, they help in controlling symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing, improving overall lung function.

Uses:

• Long-term management of asthma

• Treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)

• Prevention of breathing difficulties caused by airway inflammation and narrowing

Dosage:

• Use strictly as prescribed by the doctor.

• Usually 1–2 inhalations twice daily.

• Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

• Rinse mouth after each use to prevent oral infections (thrush).

Side Effects:

• Hoarseness, throat irritation

• Oral fungal infection (thrush)

• Headache, dizziness

• Tremors, palpitations

• Rare: severe allergic reaction, paradoxical bronchospasm

Precautions:

• Not for immediate relief of asthma attacks (rescue inhaler needed).

• Use with caution in patients with heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders, diabetes, or infections.

• Inform doctor if pregnant or breastfeeding.

• Regular monitoring of lung function is advised during long-term use.
