Description

Fluka 150 Tablet is an antifungal medicine from Cipla Ltd., containing Fluconazole 150mg as its active ingredient. It belongs to the class of medicines known as triazole antifungals and is widely prescribed for the treatment of various fungal and yeast infections in the body.

Fluconazole works by inhibiting fungal growth. It blocks the production of a vital component in the fungal cell membrane (ergosterol), thereby weakening and destroying the fungal cells.

Uses of Fluka 150 Tablet

• Vaginal yeast infections (Candidiasis)

• Oral thrush (Oropharyngeal & esophageal candidiasis)

• Cryptococcal meningitis (fungal infection of the brain/spinal cord)

• Systemic fungal infections affecting organs like lungs, liver, etc.

• Fungal infections of skin and nails

Dosage & Administration

• Usually taken as a single 150mg dose for vaginal yeast infections.

• For other infections, dosage and duration depend on severity and doctor’s prescription.

• Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day if multiple doses are prescribed.

• Swallow with water; do not crush or chew.
