Description
Fungicip 150 Tablet is an antifungal medicine manufactured by Cipla Ltd. It contains Fluconazole 150mg, a well-known antifungal agent belonging to the triazole class of antifungals. This medicine is widely prescribed for the treatment and prevention of various fungal and yeast infections affecting different parts of the body.
Fluconazole works by blocking the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. Without ergosterol, the fungal cell wall becomes weak, leading to the destruction and inhibition of fungal growth.
Uses of Fungicip 150 Tablet

Vaginal Candidiasis (Vaginal yeast infection)

Oropharyngeal and Esophageal Candidiasis (Oral & throat thrush)

Cryptococcal meningitis (fungal infection of the brain and spinal cord)

Dermatophytosis (skin fungal infections, ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch)

Systemic candidiasis (fungal infections in blood, lungs, urinary tract, etc.)
Dosage & Administration

For vaginal yeast infections, usually prescribed as a single 150mg dose.

For other infections, dosage and duration are based on the doctor’s prescription and severity of the condition.

Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day if more than one dose is required.

Swallow the tablet whole with water.
