About Glycomet-GP 4 Forte Tablet PR
Glycomet-GP 4 Forte Tablet PR is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used to manage Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults.
It is prescribed when diet, exercise, and other single anti-diabetic medicines are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels.
This dual-action formulation helps in maintaining stable glucose levels and prevents diabetes-related complications such as kidney damage, nerve issues, heart disease, and eye problems.
How It Works
This tablet contains two effective anti-diabetic agents:
-
Glimepiride (4mg): A sulfonylurea that helps the pancreas produce more insulin to lower blood sugar levels.
-
Metformin (1000mg): A biguanide that decreases glucose production in the liver, slows sugar absorption in the intestine, and enhances insulin sensitivity.
The Prolonged Release (PR) form ensures a slow and steady release of the medicine for sustained blood sugar control throughout the day.
