Description
LEFTERO-250 contains levetiracetam, a broad-spectrum antiepileptic medication used for seizure control. It is supplied in convenient blister strips to maintain potency and accurate dosing.
Clinical Uses

Monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in partial-onset seizures, with or without secondary generalization, in adults and children

Adjunctive treatment for generalized tonic-clonic seizures, myoclonic seizures, and other epilepsy syndromes.

Sometimes used off-label for other neurological disorders under specialist supervision.
Mechanism
Levetiracetam binds to SV2A protein on synaptic vesicles, suppressing abnormal neuronal activity and spread of electrical signals that cause seizures.
Dosage & Administration

Standard starting dose: 250 mg twice daily (or as directed: adjusted by physician based on response and age/weight).

Can be taken with or without food—fixed timing recommended for optimal blood levels

Swallow whole with water; do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
Common Side Effects

Headache, drowsiness, fatigue, irritability, mood changes, aggressive behavior, decreased appetite, dizziness.
