Description

MONTECIP LC JUNIOR SYRUP is an oral anti-allergic and anti-asthmatic syrup designed for children. It combines Montelukast (a leukotriene receptor antagonist) and Levocetirizine (a non-sedating antihistamine) to provide dual-action relief from allergy and respiratory symptoms13.

Uses

• Relief and prevention of:
  • Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, itching)
  • Hay fever
  • Allergic skin conditions (chronic urticaria, itching, rashes)
  • Asthma symptoms and other respiratory allergies

How It Works

• Montelukast: Blocks leukotrienes, substances that cause inflammation, airway constriction, and mucus production—helpful in both allergies and asthma.
• Levocetirizine: Blocks the effects of histamine, a chemical responsible for allergy symptoms like itching, sneezing, and watery eyes1.

Together, they decrease inflammation in airways, reduce sneezing, nasal congestion, and relieve itching and rashes3.

Dosage & Administration

• Typical Pediatric Dose: As prescribed by your doctor, commonly 5ml once daily.
• Timing:
  • For allergy: Morning or evening, depending on symptom onset
  • For asthma: Preferably in the evening or 2 hours before physical activity
• Can be given with or without food.
• Shake bottle well before use.
• Use the provided measuring spoon or cup for accuracy.
• If the child vomits within 30 minutes of taking the dose, repeat only if next dose isn’t due soon2.

Side Effects
