How It Works

Orlistat inhibits pancreatic and gastric lipases, enzymes responsible for breaking down dietary fats in the gut. Undigested fats are excreted in the stool, reducing overall calorie absorption and promoting weight loss.

Side Effects

Common:

• Oily spotting on underwear

• Flatulence with discharge

• Frequent or urgent bowel movements

Serious (rare):

• Severe liver injury (jaundice, dark urine, fatigue)
