Oflomac 300 Tablet

Description

Oflomac 300 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine containing Ofloxacin (300mg). It is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including those affecting the urinary tract, respiratory tract (lungs, throat, nose), skin, soft tissues, and certain types of pneumonia. It works by blocking the activity of a bacterial enzyme (DNA-gyrase), which prevents bacteria from multiplying and repairing themselves, ultimately killing them and clearing the infection.

This medicine should be taken in the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor, with or without food, preferably at a fixed time each day. Do not skip doses, and complete the full course to prevent the infection from returning or bacteria from becoming resistant.

Possible side effects of Oflomac 300 Tablet include nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, insomnia, itching, or rash. Most of these are mild and temporary, but consult your doctor if they persist or worsen. Rarely, severe allergic reactions may occur (such as swelling of lips, tongue, face, or difficulty in breathing), which require immediate medical attention.
