Telpres-MT 50 Tablet PR is a combination antihypertensive medicine that helps in controlling high blood pressure (hypertension) more effectively than single-drug therapy. It contains:

Telmisartan (40mg): An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels and lowers blood pressure.

Metoprolol Succinate (50mg): A beta-blocker that reduces heart rate, cardiac workload, and helps maintain steady blood pressure.
This dual mechanism provides effective long-term control of blood pressure, reducing the risk of complications such as stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage.

How to Use:

Take the tablet once daily, preferably at the same time each day.

Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew (since it is a prolonged-release (PR) formulation).

Do not stop suddenly; abrupt withdrawal of beta-blockers may worsen heart conditions.
