Description

Udiliv 450mg Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA), a bile acid that helps in the treatment of chronic liver diseases and gallbladder disorders. It is mainly prescribed to manage conditions like cholestatic liver disease, primary biliary cirrhosis, and fatty liver, as well as to dissolve cholesterol gallstones in patients who are not candidates for surgery. The higher 450mg strength is often prescribed for patients who require stronger or long-term therapy.

Indications / Uses:
Udiliv 450mg is used for:

• Dissolving cholesterol gallstones (non-calcified)

• Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) – an autoimmune liver disorder

• Chronic cholestatic liver diseases

• Fatty liver disease (NAFLD, NASH)

• Improving bile flow and protecting liver cells from damage

How It Works:
Ursodeoxycholic Acid works by:

• Decreasing cholesterol absorption in the intestines

• Reducing cholesterol production in the liver

• Breaking down cholesterol deposits in the gallbladder

• Improving bile flow and protecting liver cells against further injury

Dosage & Administration:

• Dosage is tailored to body weight and disease severity.

• Generally taken once or twice daily after meals, with water.

• For gallstone treatment, it may need to be taken for 6 months to 2 years.

• Regular liver function tests and ultrasound monitoring are required.

Side Effects:
