Description

Atazis-25 Tablet is an antihistamine used for relief from moderate to severe allergic symptoms, itching, skin allergies, and also occasionally for short-term anxiety or as a sedative.

How it Works / Key Benefits

• Hydroxyzine blocks the action of histamine H1 receptors, reducing symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, hives, eczema, and other allergic manifestations.

• Also has sedative and anti-anxiety effects due to suppression of certain brain centers, which helps relax, induce sleep, and reduce restlessness or tension.

• It is effective in treating allergic reactions from dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, and other conditions, as well as anxiety and pre-operative sedation.

Uses / Indications

• Moderate to severe skin allergies and itching (eczema, urticaria, dermatitis, psoriasis)

• Short-term management of anxiety and tension

• Sedation before and after medical procedures

Dosage & Administration

• Typical adult dosing: 25 mg 2–3 times daily, but the dose and duration depend on the condition, severity, and individual needs. Follow your physician’s advice strictly.

• Swallow tablet whole, with or without food

• Do not stop medication without medical advice, even if symptoms improve

Safety & Precautions

• Common side effects: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, headache, fatigue.

• Avoid alcohol; may increase drowsiness and other CNS effects

• Use with caution in elderly patients and those with liver, kidney, heart problems, glaucoma, prostate issues, or who are pregnant/breastfeeding.

• May interact with other sedative medicines, antihistamines, and certain antidepressants—always inform your doctor about all medication use

• Not to be given to children under age 1 year, or with certain neuropsychiatric or heart rhythm disorders
