Description
Ondamac 4mg Tablet MD is an antiemetic medicine used to prevent and control nausea and vomiting. It is commonly prescribed for patients undergoing surgery, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy, and may also be used in cases of severe stomach upset. It works by blocking the action of serotonin, a chemical in the brain that triggers the vomiting reflex.
This medicine can be taken with or without food, usually before treatment sessions, or as directed by your doctor. For best results, take it at the same time each day and avoid exceeding the recommended dose. Since this is a mouth-dissolving tablet, do not handle it with wet hands. Place it on your tongue and let it dissolve—do not chew or swallow it whole with water.
Common side effects include headache, constipation or diarrhea, fatigue, and mild stomach upset. These are usually temporary and go away once treatment is complete. If any side effect persists or worsens, inform your doctor.
